Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Re-Factored (the "Portal") and the individual applications reachable from its sub-domains (each an "App", collectively the "Services"), operated by Re-Factored ("Re-Factored", "we", "us", or "our"). By signing in to or otherwise using the Portal or any App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. What the Portal is

The Portal is a directory and single sign-on entry point. It does not itself provide the functionality of any App — it authenticates you once and shows you links to the Apps your account is authorized to use. Each App may have its own additional terms, and those terms govern your use of that App in addition to these Terms.

3. Accounts, sign-in, and roles

Access to the Services is provided through OpenID Connect (OIDC) sign-in. Your account is issued one or more "roles" by us or by our identity provider. The Portal reads these roles to decide which App tiles to display and to unlock:

• You must hold the re-factored:user role for the Portal to show you the Apps directory at all.
• Each App additionally requires its own role (for example, quests:user for Quest Time) before its tile becomes active and clickable.
• Roles are managed by Re-Factored administrators. If you believe your roles are missing or incorrect, contact us using the details below.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access an App or role you have not been granted, or circumvent role-based access controls.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Portal, any App, or the systems or networks connected to them.
• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

5. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove Apps from the directory, modify roles, or update the Portal at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Portal or any App.

6. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your access to the Portal or any App at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Re-Factored is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
